How important are Virtual Career Fairs in this COVID19 environment?
Champions extends the physical career fairs into the virtual world. In most states, mass public gatherings are still limited. The experts don't expect a vaccine for at least 12 months, which means the large job fair conventions need a solution to connect corporate recruiters and college grads safely. Our virtual career fair technology, called Careertown, has been around for seven years, and we've consistently been growing, and expect 2020 to be are largest one yet. That's because we've partnered with the largest career fair company in the US, National Career Fairs, as their exclusive partner.
What makes Champions of Diversity so unique as a recruiting tool?
Champions is a virtual career fair platform that can extend a company's recruiting reach beyond their physical presence at conferences. For example, the fall is the busiest season in Corporate America's new hire recruiting. They're trying to lock-in candidates across the US from college campuses, career fairs, and recruiting conferences. Hiring managers spend a lot of money trying to get quality candidates, which we can manage the interface virtually at a fraction of the cost.
What kind of success has Champions of Diversity had so far?
We've seen double digit growth since 2017, and we're on track to eclipse $500K in revenues in 2019, with over 600 paid corporate clients. We've proven the business model, and now we need to grow even further. This is why we need growth capital to grow our topline revenues through more organic sales and drive profitability into our net margins.
What's the future of recruitment look like?
You're going to see artificial intelligence pay a big factor in our business. For big corporations, it comes down to having a high volume of the best quality candidates. By marrying together our virtual career fair software with the AI recruiting technology by Arya, we'll be able to use the machine learning tools to find the very best candidates out there, track their behaviors, and engage with them much better. Corporations are looking for an edge in recruiting, and we're the ones doing it.
Why is your mission to champion diversity so important?
It's so important to see representation happen across corporate America. The highest levels within companies are not representative of the overall population yet. In order for us to get there, we need to open up opportunities at the bottom rungs of the corporate ladder for diverse candidates who might not have access or even the means to attend job fairs that companies host. Our Careertown virtual career fair levels the playing field for them.
