A few things before we get started...

1. Please review the checklist!

If you haven't reviewed the Fundraising Checklist, now's the time to do so. This checklist will tell you all the electronic documents you need to prepare before filling out the application. Organize all these documents as PDFs or Excel files. All these files will be needed to complete the application, which we'll submit electronically to the SEC via their online portal called EDGAR.

2. Request EDGAR access and get a CIK Number

The SEC requires you, the issuer, to directly request access to EDGAR. Simply follow these instructions to complete the SEC's Form ID. Keep in mind, there are several manual steps of printing, signing, notarizing, and scanning the form in order to submit. After you submit the form, the SEC can take 2-3 business days to email you a Central Index Key (CIK). You will need this later to complete your application.

3. Go ahead and start your application!

You can now begin entering information into the on-line application. Give yourself a total of 1.5 hours, provided you have all the checklist items ready. You will be able to save your progress at any time, and returning to the form will take you to the last page you were on before exiting.
